Mine is an 11/08 build date and I have a locking tailgate. I don't have the MDS light in the EVIC though.

only differences are the Locking tailgate and the MDS light in the EVIC. There is a small difference in the engine as the pre Dec 08 builds tend to have the VCT (Varible Cam Timing) and the later builds have the VVT (Varible Valve Timing) but there has yet to be found any differences. Actually there are threads all over about VCT Vs. VVT. You can do a quick forum search for VVT vs VCT and you may just find a few.

One other change, although it was a late 03/09 or early 04/09 change is the HEMI badges on the side are different (although I can't say I like them as much as the old ones that had the displacement listed with them.

Ah yes I did read some where that those are starting to show up on the newest builds. Looks like the HEMI badge they have on the Charger if I'm not mistaken?

EVIC is the display between the speedometer and the tachometer. The MDS light is a light that comes on when the engine is in MDS mode.

VCT/VVT and the MDS light are already explained in the sticky.
