Default Getting Laramie Rear Bumper - Exhaust

On Friday i was rear ended and went to the dealer, the insurance is paying for everything damaged. I have wanted the Laramie bumper for some time and was going to wait until next year to buy it. Anyway I went to the dealer saying I'll pay the difference between my SLT bumper to the Laramie with the dual cut outs. To my surpirsed they where the same price!! Now I am having to get the exhaust done as soon as my truck is fixed. (Going in in about two weeks as I am waiting on parts).

I figure that I am having to go through the dealer for the exhaust system as if I go anywhere else it will vaild my warranty for the entire truck? Is this true as i know it will vaild the engine warranty for sure which I plan to keep until it expires.

I figure why go a few hundred dollars cheaper to save on money then one day my Engine fails and I have no warranty.. Its sucks!!

I have a quad cab and when you stand behind the truck the cab look like a box. Its disgusting. I wish i got a Crew. But still I am hoping this new bumper will lead eyes away from that

Getting an aftermarket exhaust would void your warranty for the exhaust and that's it. To deny a warranty claim, they must be able to reasonably claim that your parts caused the problem. If you take it in for a noise that turns out to be exhaust related, you'll be paying for them to tell you that.

I've read a quote somewhere on the factory dual exhaust, and it was about 3 times the price of what a shop would do it for.

What are the chances that an after market Exhaust system could cause me engine troubles? That is what i am fraked out about.

Also the SLT quad and Laramie truck are pretty much the same besides the bed length. Will they will just give my SLT the Laramie exhaust system pretty much?

slt or laramie are trim levels they have nothing to do with the bed length, also they both use the same exhaust with the quiet resonators the sport uses the aggressive resonators.it would be alot cheaper to do an aftermarket exhaust.the exhaust will not void your warranty.if that was the case the dealer could void your warranty for adding aftermarket tires or brakes.it would never happen.

Just out of curiosity what is the price on the rear bumper with the exhaust cut outs? I sure do like the looks of them and have been thinking possibly some time in the future i might want to go with dual exhaust on my 4.7 SLT.
