n fab side steps. black, color matched or linex?
alright guys help me out. i have a sunburst orange quad cab sport 4x4. im thinking about getting the cab length with 2 steps on each side. what do you think would look the best?
The only thing I would caution you on is this. On my N-fab step rails, if they had line-x on them I do believe they would touch at the front where they curve in. There isn't much space there at all. Perhaps sarguy can chime in as to how much clearance he has on his, but it's just something to think about. That being said, I think I'd just stick with the black. I like some color contrast on a vehicle.
I'd Line-X them. I may go this route later since the powercoating is going to scratch and not be shiny after people use the bars. I have a big rub mark from a sneaker on mine already.
As far as clearance, mine touch the fender flares up front, but there is room everywhere else.

yeah, i dont have flares on the sport. well since ive been thinking about it, ive almost convinced myself to get the power steps instead!!!
i love the clean look.
but if i get the n fabs, and linex'd id probably be in the $600 ish range, probably more.
i know its still half of the power steps, but im trying to convince myself....

Without question, if the power steps are within your budget, get them. I considered them for awhile but couldn't bring myself to dish out over $1100 for them when I wanted other things such as a tonneau cover. I may wind up getting them in a year or so though. They are very nice, and I agree with you about how clean the truck would look with them tucked up under out of view.
