Some will. I am still a diehard GM person. But, the chevy truck just wasn't what I was wanting. The Ram had what I wanted/liked, looked the best and priced the best out of them all. Well, I didn't even look at the Fords. I was quite disappointed. Now that I have the Ram, I really like it!

 

I was a chevy truck man myself up until 96 when I decided to look into the ram and found out that you get a lot more bang for your buck. I've bought 4 new dodge's since then and never looked back into chevy truck land.(at least as far as the trucks go).

 

I also was a Chevy truck guy and was even expecting to buy a 2009 Silverado. Until I drove the 2009 Ram 1500 SLT with the 5.7 Hemi. The Dodge was a lot more truck for the money and the ride is absolutely awesome. My first Dodge and love it.
