2009 Ram owners, how old are you?
I'm 23. Seems I'm the youngest of this bunch. I'm all stock but that is simply because I'm waiting until I move back to the mainland (I'm in Hawaii) before I do anything to the truck.
I think it's asinine to think that only young people chop up their vehicles. Who do you think a lot of these young guys learned from? They learned from the old gear heads that have been doing this **** since they got there first car or truck. My dad is 56 later this month, not a gear head and he does some mods to his truck. An old work buddy, 50 this year, likes to do some mods to his trucks as well. I know I've seen a crap ton of guys here in Hawaii in there 30 and 40s that do some pretty major mods to their trucks. Thats just the thing to do around here.
I love my Dodge as a stock truck but there is no doubt that when someone comes along and does something fantastic with theirs, I get jealous. Sometimes the mods aren't to my liking, but like a few guys on here already said, "To each their own." The only mods I really don't like are rice burners because they're stupid loud and sound like ****. When I had my CJ7 with a 304 I had dual flowmasters (actual duals with 2 headers, not the stupid split pipes) on her, and it was ridiculously loud. Then with the CJ5, also with a 304, I took it down a notch and found the perfect exhaust sound for me. I'm 23 and already I don't want another vehicle as loud as my CJ7. I don't like feeling like an ******* every time I have to start my vehicle early in the morning. That's just me though.

I dont think the new ram is owned by a majority of young guys but instead there is more of them online cruising forums....
It's a battle between my body and my brain. My brain thinks I'm 20, my body and the calender tells me I'm 50. The body is slowly winning the fight. I started working when I was 12, and paid $1000 of the $1400 it took for my first truck when I turned 16. I've paid for every vehicle I've owned since. I have always loved modifying my truck and over the years have learned which mods are worth the money and time and which ones aren't. I regret some that I've done and others I wish I could do again. As I got older, I got where I liked quiet more than rumble so I don't mess with the exhaust to much anymore. I haven't started any mods on the 09 yet, but I have time to consider what I want and how to go about getting it done. I say to each his own. If I'm not paying for it, do what you want! Jeff.
I'm on Oahu. The fact that MMMrice and the other guy he mentioned were able to afford a full size truck at 19 is pretty impressive. Congratulations on that!
I guess most of you would say that I'm and old fart with most of my life past, and being glad you're not me, lol. But my last b-day was every bit of the best I that ever had, lots of fun and kinda weird too
. I was born in 54 and turned 54 last Oct, the numbers made it kind of a strange and exciting b-day. I think it's ironic, and I feel lucky to have experienced it. Makes you wonder how many of you will get to experience the same thing. Some of you born in the 60's and 70's have a good chance at seeing it, so be prepaired and make it your best. As for those of you lucky to be youngins born in the 80's or later, well.......good luck waiting
