Come on folks, you've got a truck with a 390 HP V-8 under the hood. Don't you want to see what it will do? You can tell from my post that I was monitoring all critical fluid temps. I was watching it close, and would have backed it down if anything had started getting seriously warm. But the truck did fantastic. Power is not the problem with this truck. I've owned several diesel trucks and gas trucks in the past, and this truck pulls as good as any gas truck has ever pulled. It even pulls as strong as some diesels have, but with the Hemi it turns more RPMs than a diesel does. It sounds good when you make it sing like Pavaroti though. And trust me, it was built for this.

So don't you people ever try to find out the limits of your latest performance machine? I always do (once the engine is broke in). I had to find out the top speed of my Challenger SRT8 (168 mph). I had to find out the top speed of my sportbike (165 mph). And I'm very satisfied with the towing power that this Dodge Hemi puts out, it is one strong running engine. Too bad the rear coil springs wont hold the weight a little better, because if it did everything exactly the way it does now, but could hold another 300 lbs or so in the bed before it started to sag it would be the perfect truck.

They could give it another inch of rake, but then even more people would want to level their trucks. Mine sags the same as my f150 did, it's just the 150 started out a lot higher in the rear.

Just going 70 down the highway with no climb and my 4,750 lbs trailer I had tranny temps around 215. Then again it was 105 outside.

I'm interested to see if the 2500 and 3500 new body style has the rear coil suspension. If so there may be a mod to beef-up the suspension in our trucks.

From what I have read the 2010 2500 and 3500 trucks will have the same chassis as the current 2500 and 3500 trucks, but with a new body on it. That means leaf springs in the rear.

I think an aftermarket suspension could solve the too soft rear coil spring problem. Superlift's rear coils have a higher spring rate than stock. If I were going to replace the OEM rear coils with a higher rate spring, why not just step up to a 4" lift that has a higher rate spring as part of the lift. I could even add the 3/4" Rough Country rear spring spacer to the Superlift rear coil spring if I wanted more rake.

650 lbs is 65% of what a 1/2 ton pickup is rated for, also a class 4 hitch is rated at 1000lb tongue weight so that again is 65%, not sure what my tongue weight is ,trailer weighs 4500 lbs usaully @10 to 15% of total weight would be around 450 to 500 lbs, figure @ 150lbs for bikes, fire wood,tools, etc. in bed , I should be well within, again I am not wanting to increace load capacity, just would like to set level towing, hoping 1000 airbags would help with equalizer hitch and swaybar hookup

A class 4 hitch is typically rated for 600 - 750lbs of tounge weight or 1200-1400 with a weight distributing hitch.

Here's the weight rating of the hitch that comes with the towing package on the RAM. It's actually only rated at 500lbs non weight distributing.
12,000-lb tow rating, 1,200-lb tongue weight rating with weight distributin­g equipment; otherwise 5,000-lb. tow rating, 500-lb tongue weight rating, includes receiver plug, 2.0" opening, Hitch Ball and Ball mount sold separately

I wondered the same thing. I found this at allpar: The rear suspension on two- and four-wheel-drive models is equipped with leaf springs and includes standard two-stage springs as part of the design for greater load-carrying capability and better ride with light loads. http://www.allpar.com/model/ram/2010-HD.html

so with equalizer bars I should be well within right? I don't think a 4500lb 22 ft. travel trailer with 200lbs or less of cargo in bed would be to much front loading, there isn't much u can do to the trailer, it is what it is,my 95 and my 04 pulled same setup all over Texas, they were both raked a$$ end high and settled to level with load, this one squats about the same as others it just had no rake to start with so now it looks like it is loaded heavy
