I don't like how a lot of manufacturers aren't putting the redline on the tach anymore.

Redline is 5800 rpm for the HEMI and 6000 for the 4.7 and 3.7. http://www.allpar.com/model/ram/dodg...owertrain.html

If it was a sports car, or at the very least, a sport truck with a manual transmission, I could see it, but for what I'm using the truck for, I don't need a redline indication.

It won't let you go over the redline.

Exactly. It is an auto tranny and even if you use the slapstick the rev limiter will kick in when you get there, which will make it sound like you have no clue.

Now if you continue to go with that and hit the rev limiter at the end instead of switching gears it feels like you hit a frikken brick wall. I wanted to go 107 it actually gets to 111 mph in mine cuz it got to 180 km/hour then it was like someone shut me down. then it coast a bit and gives you back the gas pedal back. I don't like that even my old 72 chevy will go 120mph stock. I thought the needle was jumping at the end but nope it hits 180 and errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr end of the line. Man it still has so much more, you can feel it. If there is a way to shut the rev limiter off would be nice. Then that torque convertor they put in would be useful?

By the way do they put the same convertor no matter what rear end, that is what I am jealous of I cant get rubber, but Ihavent tried it rolling I know it won't from the hole and well 3:55 gears are my drawback...I thought they would be good, I had them in my first Dakota with a 318 CID years in 98 and that sucker could not get traction for nothing.
