Well, just got back from our short trip to the ocean. We had 2 adults, 2 thirteen year old boys, and one 70lb german shepherd in the cab. About 200lbs of stuff in the bed. The trailer was as normal, just under 5000lbs with it loaded up.

The route from here to the ocean is through a bunch of gentle hills on a main highway for part of the time, they switching to a 2 lane winding road with lots of dips and bounces everywhere.

We had no swaying with the trailer, the dips and bumps didn't generate any excess bouncing with the rig.

I averaged about 10mpg and that was against a decent breeze on the way there, nothing much on the return. I was really accelerating hard coming out of each slow area, it was too much fun to worry about the mileage.

The only complaint I had was some really, really, REALLY bad squeaking coming from the hitch area. Turns out I just needed to lube my weight distributing bars and all was good again.

Just wondering which weight dist. setup you're running. What's the capacity on the spring bars ? Sounds like they are working well for you.

The hitch is an EAZ LIFT, only markings are V5 and S7 on top. The bars are marked EAZ LIFT V5 750 (750lbs). I would not tow without a WD hitch, it makes a huge difference. I pre-load the bars on this one rather lightly at about the 2nd link down from its free end.

The Hitch weight on my 2006 Thor 22RB TT is listed at 416lbs. Dry weight of TT is 3926 and its GVWR is 7200Lbs. My loaded weight for this TT is 5500-6000lbs typ.

BTW, I was once challenged on this forum about my RCSB "on the off chance your going to tow threw the mountains of CO I would like to hear abought it."
Well thats fair enough, I just posted a pic of the 22ft trailer I tow in my garage album. It was taken at 11,000ft Twin Lakes Colorado. Also towed it over Cottonwood pass CO (12,200ft) and it was absolutely effortless for my truck.
