What do you know about the Superchips programmer?? Thats what I'm waiting for...I had one on my last Ram. I looked at the Hypertech for the '09 and wasn't really impressed.

That link above shows the superchips tech talking about the new program for our trucks. And here's a link showing what size exhaust we should have for our 400hp engines. The chart shows we need a min 3.5 inch exhaust since its a single tube at least to the muffler. Or 2 2.5 inch pipes all the way back with an equalizer tube and thats good till 450hp for max power. Heres the link if you want to check it out. Hope this helps.

He's my thoughts on why the truck doesn't come stock with true duals. In todays truck market power plays a huge role and if the engineers decided what is there will give the best power band and max power for the power band that's what we have. I have the single exhaust and it's 3" all the way back. It already has 2 cats. The dual exhast truacks have 2.25 or 2.5 pipes out the muffler. They don't have different power numbers. By messing with the back pressure and the places the back pressure is created will you get higher numbers? Sure, but in the wrong place. You could gain at the top and lose on the bottom, losing acceleration. You could gain at the bottom but lose in the middle or top, which would make it less efficient while at highway speeds or towing. These people get paid big money to develop these thing. No pffense to the muffler shop guys, but they work on hunches and "oh yeah, it'll add power". Just replace the muffler to get some sound, the air box is already plenty big enough. All you'll get is "more powerful sound".
