Default Metal Intake Tubes Replacements ?

Just another question for you guys I ordered a True Flow drop in filter for my 09 Hemi and was wondering abought a replaceing the intake tube, do I really need to replace the factory one ? I had checked with True Flow and they do not have a replacement yet for the factory pc so should I just stay with that or look for another brand to replace it.
Thanks...

what is wrong with the stock one? the plastic keeps heat out a bit better vs the aluminum ones found on the kits. it seems the way the Ram intake is designed is pretty efficient vs some cars with all the resonators and bends - stock one is pretty much a straight shot

I bought the true flow XDI intake and though it does have more curves it in.. i promise you that my engine woke up a lot and gained a few mpg... i don't know about many things.. but i do know my XDI made a huge difference and will end up paying for itself over the years drive and saving on MPG

ya the only benefit would be to somehow get more cooler outside air directly into the intake but I cant tell how that would happen w/o some serious modifications. the aftermarket ones are mostly for show/looks

Simplest way would be to run a pipe from behind one of the lamp holes in the bumper up, problem then is it would also probably push water up with it in certain conditions.
