TRX4 0 Lift 34.5" Tires
I've been lurking in the forums for a couple of months reading the posts trying to get feel for what I want to do with my truck; Thank you everyone for all the great information, you really helped me out.
I wanted to fit some 35" tires with the minimum lift necessary because several of the places I go offroad require a lower truck due to trees and more ground clearance due to ruts and lousy roads where I hunt. (I actually purchased the 2.5" Daystar leveling lift kit, but decided not to put it in because I didn't want to mess up the rear caster angle, or put the front u-joints at an extreme angle during droop; Plus the tires fit!) There is a 1" 'bubble' in the front driver side wheel well that the tire just rubs(pic below).
Attached are some of the pics of what I ended up with. Another of my concerns was sticking the tires out too far; I didn't rocks and mud shooting up onto my truck. A couple of the pictures show how far 9" rims stick out with 4.5" backspacing (-12mm offset). I still need to add some mud flaps, any advice would be appreciated.
Truck Pics:
Tire Extrusion:
Wheel rub:
Addons so far:
BFG A/T 315/70R17(34.5") on Dick Cepeck 17X9 DC-1's ~$1700
Steelcraft 4" Oval Nerf Bars ~$300
Front window tint to match factory rear window tint ~$70
EGR Intrack window visors ~$70
Line-X spray in Bedliner ~$450
(I included prices because it something missing from alot of the posts here that would have been helpful to me)
