Ok after looking around the web and calling Volant seeing when they are going to release there cold air intake for the 09 ram. After talking with volant they told me its already out on the market. Volant cold air intake is going for $449. Here is the web site to find it. Also was wondering if anybody has the volant system on there 09 Ram yet?

I haven't made the move on an intake yet, but I'd be interested to know what you think when you get this. So far AirRaid has caught my eye, but I know a lot of guys here have went with the XDI setup.

 

what is the blocked off hole in the front for? Man I say the original box gets more cold air than that volant the way it looks. Also it says it may give you up to 18 hp but will give you 40 lbs of torque, they can guarantee 40lbs of torque...ya okay they cannot guarantee anything. All you are getting is noise from these things reminds me of how we used to flip our breather lids over to get that noise from the 4 barrel when you kick it down.

 

I like the looks of the XDI intake, and I agree with 72combo, looks like the stock air intake would get more than the volant.

 

The blocked off hole is for a optional ram air tube. Or you could just take the cap off and suck all the hot air from the engine compartment just like xdi systems!!

 

I have one but it is on my 01. Check the pics and you can see mine. I love it! I love Volant.

 

I had one on my Titan and loved it too but i just dont like the price of the volant $450 i think that pretty steep!! So im waiting on someone that has installed one on there 09 and see how they like it.

 

The xdi doesnt work like a traditional air intake the air is cooled before entering the engine, I used to say the same thing before I saw one in action.

 

Yes. They are pretty pricey though too, I agree.
