Default Good deal for a 2009?

OK, I finally found my color and option truck. It's at a local dealer's. It's a quad/Laramie and this being the end of the year what do you guys think is a good deal? It's a $44k truck.

I'd say 10k off minimum. I ordered my truck exactly the way I wanted it and got 10k off msrp. It was the sport with all the goodies ~49k and got it for about 39K before TTL and the lifetime bumper-bumper

Supposedly right now if you have a high mpg trade in you can get an additional $9k off, $4.5k from the government in thier Cash for Clunkers deal plus an additional matching $4.5k from Chrysler........

don't settle for less than 10k off msrp...most people have been getting about 10-12k off msrp...it will vary with the price of the truck...the more expensive the more $ discount.

Tell them what you want to pay. They are desperate as hell to move inventory,2010's are coming out soon.l did some research, and got some quotes from other dealers.Went and looked at the truck l wanted, MSRP was $41,900 ,l offered them $28k,and told them they had to buy out my old lease 4 payments x $500-the salesman went to ''talk'' to the sales manager, came back, said if l do the deal now he'd give it to me for $29,500,and they would pay off my old lease, not add $$ to new truck, they would cut me a check to pay it off.So l took the check they gave me plus another 1,000 or so and used it to pay the taxes and DMV seperately, that way you're not paying interest on taxes and tags, and if your financing it lowers your monthly a few bucks
