Default Mud flaps

I just bought a set of Mopar molded mudflaps for my crew cab. My question is has someone installed them with the rear wheel well liners? If so do you have cut some off or is there a trick to make them fit well? Mine don't fit well because they don't lay flat against the wheel well liners. Should they go in behind them? The instructions don't have any tips.

Mine were dealer installed. They fit pretty good, I will have to look closer, but from what I see they fit well. Check out my pics on my profile page.

Just tighten that last screw up good. They pull in pretty good. I'll try to get some pics this afternoon.

He is talking about the step on the flap where they go against the liner. Definitely a design issue as there is no way for them to fit flush no matter what is cut or removed.

They only make one version and they all have the same problem. They fit fine to the fender, that is not where the problem is.

My bad. I see what you're talking about. Maybe add a small ss screw and nut to pull that back edge up tight.

It's not really loose, just designed wrong. Not sure what they were thinking as there is nothing in the area that it contours to. Even if you didn't have the liner, the plastic part that is left does not match the flap.
