Default More power for my RES radio

Sorry guys,l know it's been discussed 100's of times,but- What the easiest way to give my stock RES radio somemore sound? Don't want to change HU-Last time l tried to hook up an amp to my old 04 Ram l shorted the HU- I already have a Kenwood 4 channel amp,and NIB infinity speakers.Just wondered if there was an easy way to do it,without frying my stock HU.Installing new speakers wouldn't help, would it? Also is there a way to plug my external hard drive into the 3.5mm plug for all my music instead of the ipod? Thanks

Mopar sells Kicker Upgrade speakers. Someone on here just ordered a set so he will probably give a review when he gets them installed.

They also have an amp if you feel it is necessary. Everything should be plug and play.

They are listed in the Mopar Accessory catalog that you can download. The front set that has both the door and dash speakers are not listed though as it is a brand new part number. The rear 6x9" speakers are in there though. It's toward the back of the catalog, around page 283 or so.

What kind of amp and speakers do you have?

I have an Alpine 4x75- and Infinity Reference speakers.Bought them for my previous Dodge and never used them, just wanted to know if there was a way I could use them, instead of buying new.Would rather spend the money on a Mufflex, the stereo can wait.Someone on here was talking about an adapter you can use, from sonic electronix, that looks like what I need to add an amp, have to read more about it.
