Default High Performance Tires?

I was at Costco yesterday getting free nitrogen in my tires. It's a courtesy for Costco customers. The guy told me when I need new tires, I will have to use HP tires. That they would cost more than regular tires. I though Wrangler HP's (stock) were just the tire name and meant no more? Was this guy right?
Thanks in Advance.....John

did he say you need new goodyear hps or new hps (high performance) tires?

1... judging by your avatar im guessing you have an 09 ram.. .your tires CANT be worn out already... if they are talk to your dealer about that..

2. if your going to replace your tires on your own do NOT buy the good years again... go get some revos... check the reviews.. ive had them and they are soo bad ***

2 out of 4 of my Goodyear Wranglers developed a hop. I took them to a Goodyear Dealer and they warrantied them out. Needless to say I didn't have the Goodyears put back. I went with Toyo. The difference was incredible. The trucks rides and drives so much better with tires that are actually round.

No, I don't need tires. The guy just mentioned I would need high performance tires when they needed to be replaced. I think it's because he saw the Wrangler HP's on my truck. Yes 09 hemi.
I asked about tire prices before he saw the truck. After he saw the tires, thats when he said the tire quotes would be much higher due to the need for high performance tires.
By the way. The Wrangler HP's on my truck ride just fine.

Will I need a special tire when mine wear out? Thanks
