Default How to remove glued plastic covers on the stock 20's

Pretty much says it. I tried pulling the rims today and the stock chrome cover are glued like crazy. Anyone pulled these off and if so how? of course without breaking the chrome covers. Any ideas or input? Thanks

Wes

I asked the same question at one point. I was hoping that a few years down the road the chrome covers could be easily replaced. I figured after some wear, it'd be a cheap way to get a new looking set of wheels.

The answer I got is that they won't come off. One guy said he even saw a RAM in a fender bender where the wheel was hit very hard. The chrome was scrapped all to hell, but it hadn't broke and was still glued on there. Before I heard that, I called the local dealer and had them look to see if the covers were a separate part number. All they could find was the wheel as a whole.
