A/C Issue in 2009 Ram
I posted this on another forum and haven't gotten any response, so I thought I'd try here.
I picked up a new Ram Laramie last Thursday. During the process of setting up things, I noticed when the remote start was used and then the key inserted and truck turned on, the A/C always resets to 72 degrees. It blows air at the set temp during remote start (65 degrees) but not after started. I've taken it to a dealer, who, after some lengthy discussion, thinks this is the technology that cools/warms the vehicle to comfortable tempature and the temp the truck is choosing is 72 degrees. the ventilated seats are not coming on either.
Can anyone verify this? Seems like the temp of the A/C would be the last tempature used in the vehicle (i.e., if the cabin temp was set at 65 degrees, it should come back on at 65 degrees and stay there until I change it).

If the temp is resetting I guess you have auto air? when started with remote it depends on the outside temp but it will go max cool or max heat when the key is turned on the HVAV should return to the settings you have slected. If it's changing there is a problem in the controll head. The dealer can ck to see if there is a flash update for your truck but they will need to connect it to there witech to know
