Default Some info for R/T guys...ok, not really lol, but post up here!

Well, I tried to start a "club" in the club section, but quickly realized that it is not for specific models and generations. My bad. It would be nice to get all the 4th gen R/T owners in one spot.

Anyways, just for the heck of it I emailed Dodge to see if I could get any info out of them about the truck. I know at one point they had been helpful to certain groups of niche vehicles, but it doesn't look to be the case any more.

My message to them:

US Customer Service - Dodge Brand Site
Brief Description:
I'd like to know the number of Ram R/Ts built in 2009
Comments:
I have a 2009 stone white Ram R/T, and I'm trying to find out as much
info
as possible on it. I'd like to find the number of R/Ts that were built
for sale in America, broken down by color if possible. I heard that
around 400 were built, and that many of those went to Canada and
Mexico.
Also I'd be interested in the specs on the higher stall torque
converter
if, like the stall speed and str. Thanks!
Their response:

Thank you for contacting the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center
regarding your 2009 Dodge Ram.

We have reviewed your email inquiring about the number of R/Ts built in
America and higher stall torque converter. We appreciate the time and
effort you took to write to us.

In response to your email, we regret to inform you that the production
numbers are considered proprietary information; therefore, we are unable
to fulfill your request. However, the general information about the
subject matter may be available on the net.

Regarding the torque converter information, we have forwarded your email
to our concerning department for their attention and response.

If we can be of any assistance to you in the future for some other
concern, please let us know.

Thanks again for your email. We value you and your business.
And then today I actually did get a phone call from Dodge regarding the converter. They left me a message on my phone, it was actually pretty funny. Basically, "uh, yeah we heard about your inquiry, and , uh, we can't tell you any of the info because it's proprietary." lol...thanks for calling guys

I was on another (non-gearhead) forum where I was able to get some help from a guy who worked at St. Louis...this was before they shut down:

Here is what I have for you so far and I am still waiting for an exact number, if he can get it. If your truck was built before April-09, Your truck is 1 of the first 60 built,,,if your truck was built after April 1 09, its one of the next 300+ but not over 400, we are trying to find the exact number and may not know for sure if Warren wont fire up and run some reminant 09's from the STL build, I would say not but cannot guarantee that,,,200 of those units went South of the border. 450 being on the high side of actual build,,,he is trying to find an exact number for you but I do know once all 09's are built there is a reference for all US cars built, with models and numbers etc...The Automotive magazines use them and quote them all the time so I'm sure you could google it by the end of this year and come up with it. I will let you know if he gets it for me,,,BTW, i noticed you said you had a couple issues with it, care to elaborate? I was told there was a hold on some units because of a rearend noise early into the build, the first 60.
G/L with your truck they are sweeeeeet!!!
I asked for clarification on a couple things, but never heard back....so take it for what it's worth!
