I did my radio about a week ago, was a piece of cake. Did it change anything? Nope.

There is a bug I happen across on occasion. If I change the channel (SAT) sometimes the old channel will still be playing, but the info screen shows the new channel and new music info. Seems to happen if I change the volume and change the channel at the instant I changed the volume (using steering wheel). Did it on the old version and new version.

A update on the RER system has been released. The latest version is 2.043 for MyGig systems with navigation. I downloaded and installed it yesterday without any problems. So far so good.

iso (cd image) download from here -http://www.mediafire.com/file/5okmmu3zbg4/RER_2.043.iso

Has anybody actually done a Gracenote DB update on a REN? I upgraded my REN to the latest firmware (9.292), but I've burned 2 DVDs of the latest GN DB update and my REN doesn't seem to recognize them. I put the disc in and it says Reading... for a few seconds and then just says DATA and doesn't do anything else.

Did you "close" the CD when you burned it? Some times the burning software will call it "finalize".

Well, all I can say is I tried to close it. I think I closed it. I'm using the built-in burning capabilities in Windows 7. The UI for burning a disk from within Windows Explorer is pretty simplistic. But, there seems to be only 2 real options and the one I picked seemed to indicate that it would finalize the disc at the end. But, there was no option to specifically finalize or not finalize.

I use Roxio on Vista. I did not close it the first time and had the issue you are talking about. Once I made one and closed it I had no issues. The download site specifically mentioned this.

Thanks. I'll try burning it from another computer that has real burning software on it.

How do you find out what version you have loaded currently?
