Default Removed the mufflex/magnaflow 14's - back to stock sport muffler

Got tired of the sound real quick ( 1-2 months now ) and compared to the deep mellow rumble of the Borla's on my 05, did not care for the magnaflow tone at all. Also, sounded like a jake brake when MDS kicked on. The 14's were just a bit much for me. Back to the stock sport muffler and now I can hear the hemi and airaid again. Think I will keep this setup for a bit and just do the Diablo as next pef mod. Strange though it feels like it has a stronger launch off the line and spins a bit longer at the usual stop sign where I have mashed it a few times.

Anyone local that wants a 14" mufflex retro for 1/2 the new price, drop a pm.

I like the 14, at least now. At first I really thought it was too loud and that I'd messed up by not going with the 18. It especially sounded like crap when in MDS mode and going into and out of it. I really was on the brink of taking it off and ordering a new 18 or going with a Flowmaster 70.

However, a few weeks ago I had the latest flash done to the truck, and somehow it really changed the sound, a lot. The MDS transition is very smooth, and it'll only occasionally get in that MDS gurgling mode that it use to do all the friggin time. The overall noise level seems to have went down as well. Of course that might have came from it finally breaking in a little.

The stock exhaust after a few thousand starts to get a bit more noticeable, my driveway in next to my room and when we back in well if I am sleeping and someone starts the truck it's like a thunderstorm. When you hammer it, it sounds fine, I personally think a new truck like this should not sound too loud, be over done with snap on plastichrome parts, whatever mods are cool, but over modding can be a problem as we have seen before, he is not here officially as far as I care but surely lurks to see if he is still poopular. This exhaust reminds me of the sound of my single pipe, 03 durango R/T as time went on the R/T got to a point where it was kinda louder...broken in then just stayed that way sorta the way my Ram is getting now.
