A Long Weekend's Worth of Hard Towing
I am sorry, I meant the the load bars on my WD hitch
I just brought them up (tightened) them by a link or 2. Didnt mess with my sway bars

That was a very good write-up about your towing experience and good break-in for your engine. I'm a firm believer in breaking an engine in the way you plan to run it. I've never pulled anything with my '06 Hemi Ram, but I did pull a double axle trailer with a small tractor on it behind my '05 4.7L Ram, and it did fine for in-town towing.
One thing after your long tow, is that you might want to change your trans fluid. I'm sure it took a beating with the trailer tow up the mountains. Other than that...congrats on your successful trip.

Saw a 3rd Gen Ram QC pulling the same model toyhauler yesterday - with the same degree of squat. Driving alongside, the Load-Distributing Hitch looked different (but he was using one).
So, it doesn't seem that this Squat Under Load issue is much different / worse on the new 09's. (Nothing that a set of Air Bags won't help out...)

I have a 26ft toy hauler and what you wrote about is spot on with what I get as well. We have a crossfire by crosswinds and 3 atv's in the back behind both axles. One thing I did change was tires and rims, the stock tires are ok but I felt the rear a little wiggly. I have new set rims plus tires which are wider and it feels alot better now to me anyways, there is alot of wind here in Oklahoma so... anything helps.
