Wow, that's crappy. Sounds like your local Leer dealer is being a pain.

I don't blame you for pulling all the Leer stuff off. I'll leave the inside strap, but everything else with their name on the outside will be coming off. Was it hard to remove the Leer 700 sticker and the tag on the lock?

 

Yep...crappy local dealer...but I also dealt directly with Leer and they were no better.

The little chrome letters were a little of a pain and pulled a paint chip off but I was getting it repainted anyway due to the shipping damage so no big deal for me. Be carful with them.

We just painted the handle logo to match the cap but it's not too obtrusive even if it stays. It's just a red symbol and doesn't say Leer or anything. Red just looked crappy with all the orange around it.

 

Well, at least it's all behind you now. The cover looks awesome and goes well with the rest of the truck.

I just fired off a email to my wife with pics of your truck and told her I wanted one. I'll see what she says, but I'll probably end up over at the Leer dealer this week regardless.
