My brother picked up 19 horse and 17 TQ with his unichip. He had it dynoed last week. We are both running 0-60 times around 6.1-6.3. Should be close. Either way we will have a good time.

With a custom tune and my mods i picked up 20hp and over 40tq. I think with any tuner, custom is the way to go. He didn't have it custom tuned, he had the tuner flash the chip for his mods and then do a couple pulls. According to your bro the tuner didn't have the software to tune it.

Yeah but even with a canned tune he picked up 19 and 17. Nothing bad about that.

Hey guys, I just set a new personal best for my truck. I went 13.75 at 98.something mph. still stock. No kidding-I've still done absolutely NOTHING to my truck. Still on the original tires it came from the factory with, did not remove tailgate or spare tire, etc. There were two differences between now and last spring when I went 14.0-the truck now has 18,000 miles on it and it was 60 degrees outside.

The really strange part is that it did this on straight 87 octane, and I forgot to let the tire pressure down in the rears. They have about 40 psi in them if I recall what I set them to last I checked. I have a video, but it's the crappiest video known to man, and you can't even read the scoreboard. I have two timeslips (13.75 and another run of 13.82), and I have a picture of the truck cooling down in the pit area of the track where you can see the number they assigned the truck on the window.

I know this seems unbelievable, but I swear I'm not pulling you guys' leg-it really is still dead stock.

Bro just emailed and said he is not running his truck tonight. He is having his chip taken out and reflashed before he takes it to the track. I am still going and will post vid tomorrow. You guys will have to wait to see the showdown.

Well lets see if M15 can make it down to irwindale thursday. We can record and post our runs. That'd be a cool showdown. I'd love to see a new R/T ram hit 13.77 or 13 period over here. Elevation isnt too bad, but the DA sucks at our 1/4 mile.

The R/T and RCSB times coming out are from bone stock trucks. Be interesting to see what they'd run with a tune. There was another guy on here with a RCSB 4x4 that installed the R/T TC and said it took .5 sec off his ET's. I bet that and a tune would have v8440 down around 13. In cool air anyway.

So my bro ended up showing up after all and I hate to say it but he did edge me on ET. There were way too many cars so we never were able to line up against each other. I am going from memory here but our best runs were a 14.71 on his end with a .232 reaction time and my best was a 14.77 with a .151 reaction time. The tree was set for automatic start so no matter how great you reacted it timed you from light to light. Bro ran with just intake and exhaust and I ran exhaust and Diablo. I will post some vids tomorrow hopefully.
My best run from on the night was against a Magnum that I treed and had until the 1/8 mile when I think he hit nitrous because from there he just TOOK OFF on me. Will post the vid tomorrow.

I will post all my data on a new thread.

That's still a good time, and close for both. However I don't understand why your times are better while in 4x4 unless you are loosing traction. Is your traction control on or off and did you try any runs in tow haul? I have never power braked my truck until yesterday. I wanted to test the tow haul on and off. However, when I purposely held it back (tires on fire) after a while the engine cut off and down to idle rpms, weird. Without holding back too long and after an rpm build up it would fry the tires and not shut down with good smoke show and launch. I wonder if you or anyone else has seen this engine rpm shut down, kinda scared me there. Both launch attempts were done in tow haul mode, and the first time I ever tried this. Congrats on your times, can't wait to see the vids!
