don't mean to "jack" the thread, but I guess I will.... I have the 4x2 Crew Cab. 5.7L Hemi, there's a chance I may get transferred for work from Texas to NY (just north of NYC towards the CT border). I bought the 4x2 thinking I would never need 4wd for regular commuting, but now i am thinking i am screwed. So, how screwed am I in the snow if I go to NY state? I love the truck, but is 2wd just not going to work up there? I may trade before i leave, but I don't want to take the financial hit unless i have to. Also, i have the 3.21 gear ratio.

It will work, you will just be slow and have to be careful. Get snow tires.

Yea, I don't think you'll have a problem, I moved from GA to Ohio, had a 4x2 Ram at the time and it did fine with some wieght in the back, it did have the limited slip which helps. Plus the New York City area doesn't get that much snow, it would be a lot worse if you were going upstate NY.

i have read that and yeah i konw how to turn it off. it just sucks that what my 06 would do in 2WD i now not only have to put it into 4wd but also turn esp off. when boggin in mudd it must be 4lo or even turning it off does nothing.
