What are the best performance mods, CAI. EXahust, Tuner, and brands?
gaorenst, true flow never made that type of kit for the 09's as far as I know, but it can still be found for 3rd gens and other vehicles. True flow is out of business so if your looking for an intake from them it will be harder to come by now.
My personal opinion is against mufflex since I got custom work done which removed the stock y-pipe, put in and bent new pipe, and put in a magnaflow muffler for the cost of a mufflex kit shipped. There are 2 easy places to remove restriction in the stock exhaust, first remove the stock y-pipe (replace it w/ magnaflow or flowmaster y) and then swap out the OEM muffler for an aftermarket that flows better. The factory y-pipe is essentially 2 smaller pipes smashed into one slightly larger one and as such is a point of restriction. It's exactly the same on the 3rd gen's and is a common exhaust mod to remove/replace it.

Exhaust.
Mufflex kit or Magnaflow and replace the y connector.
CAI
True Flow Xtreme or MXP Airaid Intake
Tuner
when they come out
DiabloSport or Superchip if they ever make one.
What is you thoughts on the MXP Airaid Intake?
The 14" Mufflex has a great sound and if you don't like it, unclamp it and put the stock muffler back on. Unfortunately a custom exhaust is permanent. Combined with the Volant intake and you will feel the difference.
The volant is pretty pricey though isn't it?
It's not cheap. Autoanything emailed discount offers that I used which helped. After always buying K&N CAI's I was impressed with the additional engineering Volant put into it. And I was pleased that it actually added to the performance as opposed to the K&N I had on my Ram SRT-10.
Yea the volant does look like the best intake out right now and you can generally find coupons online for autoanything to get about 15% off so it would be around $320. It is pricey but the filter alone (which is a powercore made by donaldson sell for like $80).
The point about not being able to remove custom work is good as the 14" magnaflow I got is a bit loud for my taste. I think it's best to go w/ at least the 18" unless you have heard a 14" in person you don't really know how loud it is.

I'll probably go with 24" I'm looking for more of performance rather then sound. will I lose any performance by going with a quieter muffler? I looked at the y connect and it is exactly like you say two pipes mashed together to fit into one.
Just got off the phone with a couple Muffler shops and they recommended not touching the y connect said it could void my warranty and also create problems with out flow of the exhaust.
No the mangnaflows are straight through mufflers and I don't see any way you would lose performance by making the engine breath better.
That's complete BS plenty of 3rd gem hemi's have this mod w/ no issues.
Are you asking me for pics? If so I have pics of a lot of the stuff I did to my truck in my gallery.
