I think if the check engine light is on, it won't allow remote start to function at all, I don't think.

If you're low on gas, it will start up, and then turn back off.

I had this problem a few times but it went away for some reason. Try disconnecting the battery for ten minutes and see if that helps. Don't forget to pull your radio fuse before connecting the battery.

Sounds like you are trying to start it when you are low on fuel.

Its not low fuel. The evic will say the truck shut off because of low fuel.

"system fault" means ???????

Default Remote start problem

I just had the same problem with my ram 1500 and the tank was full, the truck has been at the dealer for four days now and they cannot figure out the problem, the dealer says it has something to do with the voltage to the remote start. Let you know when they hopefully fix the problem

when mine was doing it i was told it was because the RRT for the outside temp sensor harness to be replaced due to the leaking windshield wiper fluid sensor. i am not sure of the RRT number but my temp sensor was reading at least 30-40 degrees higher than actual. the truck would start and then immediately shut off and say system fault in the EVIC. once they replaced the harness i havent had any problems since.

RRT info in FAQ section. I think I also heard something about it being related to the air/temp sensor.
