Ok that makes sense. I wasn't sure if there was an additional performance boost for the whole system. It would be nicer to spend lil under $300 instead of $670 for the whole system. Appreciate the info and help Bobba.

I'm not looking for an obnoxiously loud exhaust system either, so I'm not sure if the how much difference there is between the mellow and moderate for the mufflex.

No problem, glad to help.

The Magnaflow catback uses a 22 inch muffler, which is in between the “moderate” 18 inch and the “mellow” 24 inch muffler on the Mufflex system. There are no resonators on the Magnaflow catback, which is going to change the tone of the exhaust. Resonators affect the tone more than the volume because they are there to cancel out unwanted sound frequencies. Removing the resonators will create more “drone” inside the cabin, but it shouldn’t be too bad because the 22 inch muffler will do a good job at keeping the volume at a tolerable level. The “aggressive” 14 inch muffler would sound much different with the resonators removed because the overall volume of the exhaust will be much louder, so any “drone” will be more apparent.

You will be happy with either the Mufflex or the Magnaflow system. The performance difference between the two systems will probably be smaller than the margin of error on a dynometer, so don’t worry too much about the performance. Pick the system that you feel comfortable with. You really can’t go wrong with either system. Besides, they are both Magnaflow in the end.

The Airraid intake is a great mod. probably took me 45 min to rip out the old one and put the new one in. (hardest part was removing the maf sensor on the old intake piping)

and the mufflex muffler took me probably about 45 min to install too... very simple and straight forward (hardest part is breaking loose the nuts on the old muffler)

Your cheapest option is to just get a magnaflow muffler installed by a shop. You can get that done for about $100 installed and it's basically the same thing as the Mufflex.
