Default Alarm LED?

OK, I've tried figuring out what this LED is for, but can't find any information on it. I've got the alarm and security group, but this LED doesn't seem to do anything.

Any ideas?

i definitely don't have that LED on my truck, nor do i have a hole or even a patched/filled hole where an LED used to be. don't know what that might be for.

Yep, that's not factory. The factory alarm light is in the cluster.

That is where the aftermarket alarm LED in my wife's truck is. Looks just like that one.

Did you get the aftermarket alarm on your truck?

Hmmm. I didn't have an aftermarket alarm installed, and that LED has been in the truck since the day I bought it. I have seen the factory blinking light on the cluster from the factory alarm, but I've never seen this LED do anything.

I tried to get up under the dash to see where the connection went. It was getting dark, and I really couldn't tell, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to see a little better. I did find a push switch on a couple of wires just hanging up in there. I've got no idea if that's part of the LED or not.
