Default Throttle body spacers

I was waiting for the aem because they come with a throttle body spacer but my patience has ran out especially after the diablo tuner finnally came out.

Ive used several air intakes over the years but Ive never tried a throttle body spacer in conjuction with it, does it have any real effect with the cold air intake or is it one of those things you haft to change this and that also to get any effect?

I plan on going with a volant air intake, and an airraid spacer, will I have any issues or am i correct in thinking the spacer has nothing to do with what type of air intake i get?

Man stay away from those paper weights. I dont care what make or brand you drive, they do nothing but make noise. Save your money for the diablo and a good tune.

Minator, what part number or type of volant CAI are you going to use?

I read that TB Spacers only good if they are a meter long and there isn't enough room for a TB Spacer that big under the hood. They do however allow for more noise if you want that. I've also read that people will find a machinist to make a TB for cheap and just use those.

TB spacers do work, but only on a wet intake (carb, TBI...). on a dry intake (MPFI, SMPI...), all they do is make a whistle noise. spacer works by allowing the air/fuel mixture more time to mix before entering cylinder and being ignited. on a dry intake, theres no fuel going through the TB or intake, so all the spacer does is allow more time for air to mix with, well, more air.

Finally someone tells the truth about TB spacers. They work fantastic on a CARB but have no effect except to increase the overall weight of your 2009 Ram! Save your money.
