I brought my 09 5.7 1500 Larime 4X4 to the dealer for a oil change, (2nd one) @ 5500 miles....Anyway they flashed the PCM with the ABS rapid response # 09-041 ......The ABS update
Now I have the ESP - BAS warning in the EVIC display with the brake light on.
Came on intermittent at first now it's on all the time as soon as the truck starts rolling. This all happened within 30 miles after the flash.

Any comments....? Sept 08 build.

Didn't have that problem after the flash. I'd take it back (PITA).

I will eventually, but it's not that convenient to do.

May not be convenient but it's the only logical thing to do.

And if you wait make sure you say it just started, cuz I got screwed on something one time that was broken but didn't matter, but i told them it was like that for a few weeks and they said they won't cover it. I said bye and left and went to another dealer. I was worried that they would have it on the computer but I had nothing done, never even got into the computer, just as soon as I told them it was 2 weeks and their response, i just said forget it and left. Went to next dealer down the road they fixed it. I just said it was a few days I wish I could remember what it was.

Mine is an early build, Nov 08 and this is why I will NOT reflash anything unless absolutely required. You need to be more agressive and get it right back in there to get it fixed. Sorry to hear of your problem, good luck.

I dont have this issue but I Have an issue with the Fog lights after the Flash.
I use to leave my headlights on Auto all the time and the Fog lights turned on also. never had any issues doing this before the FLash. When I start the truck or turned it off the lights would all come on or off on their own. After the Flash if I have the headlights set to Auto and the fog lights turned on when you shut the truck off it beeps like your headlights are on even though the lights turn off. so now if I leave the fog light button pressed the truck beeps every time I get in or get out. for now I'm just leaving the foglights turned off all the time and it's ok.
