I have test driven two 2009 trucks, one was an SLT the other an ST. The SLT had a "fuel saver" light that would indicate when the truck was running on 4 cylinders. The ST only had a temp read out, trip, and an odometer. No fuel saver light. So does the ST in general not come with that, because I would gladly trade the temp guage for a fuel saver light.

 

Did the ST have an EVIC? I know I've seen some without one.

Are you sure the ST had a Hemi? The MDS is only available on the Hemi.

Also, you wouldn't happen to know the build dates of the truck, would you? Because early build trucks with the Hemi did not have the Fuel Saver light, even though they had the MDS.

 

I have no idea about the build date.

It had a HEMI badge, I did not look under the hood. The EVIC is the on the dash above the steering coloumn correct? It showed the temp, press the button it gave you the trip milage, press it again and it gave you the truck's actual mileage.

I talked with one salesman and he said he never knew that there was a light on the dash. I talked with another and he said the SLT has it and the ST doesn't.

I don't know, I can't find one dealership that says the same as the next concerning their trucks.
