What's weird is that it happens quite often and my original 09 4.7 did it also but I got rid of the 4.7 and now the 5.7 does it to. I have about 8000 miles on the truck and it seems to have gotten worse. I will call the dealer and set up for an appointment. Sal

Its called BUMP STOP.The latest flash took care of 90% of it on mine but still occurs slightly once in a while.Hopefully ANOTHER FLASH UPDATE will appear to correct that and the 500 rpm idle(which contributes to it) that it does at times.

I'm with evenodds20, take it back to the dealer. I have the ability to completely re-build the engine but wouldn't touch it while under warranty, to much plastic under the hood to break and then the dealer says your whole engine warranty is void because you messed with it. To much at stake this early on in the trucks life. As for the two of you bickering over whom is the bigger idiot..............

you are missing the point all together. If i have something wrong with a weld on my o2 sensor bung, should i break out my welder and take care of it myself? just because you know how to do something, if you PAID someone else to do it right the first time and its not done, have it fixed. it has nothing to do with ability. you as well as iron sides are stuck on the fact that you must utilize your knowledge whether its to prove to yourselves that you can solve a problem. good job. im trying to get yall to see the light. i didnt say EVERYTHING should be taken back to the dealer. if you have low tire pressure after you leave the dealer, go ahead and air it up yourself. if a lightbulb goes out, bam. take care of it yourself. if my truck has trouble starting, DO NOT take a hammer and start tapping it. just because you know tricks of the trade, doesnt mean you have to disregard the dealer.

look i dont care. if you feel comfortable risking your warranty because you know how to do some stuff, go right ahead. i myself will leave sensors and other vital parts of the truck to the dealer. around here, dealers fight fixing things if factory zip ties are missing. so i could only imagine what i might be told if they noticed a something different than factory while trying to diagnose a problem this serious such as trans or computer issues. im not taking a chance at risking it. thanks.

to the OP.
I hope you figure out what it is because it sound serious enough to have checked out. I would hate to hear that in the process of fixing it, you damaged another component. If the problem is that big to where you are fighting rear ending someone when you let off the brake, atleast call the dealer and inquire. they may know exactly what you are talking about and have a for sure fix for you. good luck and let us know what the outcome of the issue is.
