they could do it now, all they have to do is drop the 6.1 hemi and we will far surpass 402 with 425.

Don't really see it as a threat since its only 12 more ponies.

the sierra denali has had the 6.2 for two years now. And like its been said before, 12 horses is no big deal.

With a drop in K&N and 91 octane we are pushing 400HP. The 6.2L is only in the heavier packages, not available in a RC. I have been looking for one, can't wait to spank it.

The 6.2 is called a Vortex max and this model has rear disc brakes, I'm verry surprised at the guts the 5.3 has and the six speed automatic with the tow package allows you to up shift or down shift, I'm also surprised towing with the 5.3 ( 09 2500 gmc 4x4 quad cab ) thiers a over abundance of power.

I will never ever become a GM convert, with GM its a case of three steps advancement, than 4 steps back wards, but I know the GM Vorteck engines really wake up with the standard go fast goodies..

Now I can't go a racing with my employers name all over my work truck and I'm so glad I'm not paying for the flue, the 5.3 is not easy on flue and I would cringe at paying the bill on the 6.2.

Dodge For life.

HP is not what matters here. 370, 380, 390, 400...... When it is that close it is all about TQ and more importantly weight.

Dodge will NOT dump the 6.1 (in its current form) into a Ram simply from a standpoint of MPGs. The 6.1 needs a major re-work.

I have done over 20 dyno pulls with 3 different F150's and have never seen +1 hp from simply upping the octane more than it was tuned for without modifying the tune. I did just remove the Airaid MXP since it had an annoying whistling sound at partial throttle and am just running a K&N drop in, not sure of a +10hp increase here though. I guess 390 is pushing 400.
