Always run 89 octane here too.

89 here, I buy it on base so it costs the same as regular off base.

Use 89 when the price is lower and 87 when the price is high, funny don't notice a difference, just using 89 as much as possible since it is recommended...says you can use 87 but 89 recommended. No pinging yet knock on wood. Wait a sec okay now I can knock on wood LOL. Punish me, I am bad.

I have only been using 87 b/c I thought thats what it said to use, but I guess I will give 89 a try and see how that works out for me.

I use 87 around town and 89 when I head to the hills. I had a tank of 87 in the mountains and noticed a very slight ping and seemed just a tad sluggish. Didn't experience that with the 89. Can't tell any difference around town.

Always use 89 when towing.
