Default Mufflex hanger question...

So Installed the muffler but once on I noticed that the steel rod that hangs the resonator is just barely inside the rubber hanger. the Muffler is back as far as I can get it on and the pipe itself is in as far as I can get it. Both hangers on the left side of the truck look like this. the rod is in the rubber hanger but just barely makes it out the back side. think it is ok? I'd hate to have it fall off.
In the pic you'll notice it does not come anywhere near matching the ends of the frame hangers. I looked and the right side is still in. and muffler hasn't moved.

How do the tailpipes look in relation to the rear bumper? Do both left and right tailpipes extend the same distance from the rear bumper?

i have the 18" and my hanger goes in the rubber farther, you might want to loosen all your clamps and reposition everything, recheck it,then tighten everything up

This morning I waxed my truck. Getting ready for Autmun. I noticed that I could lift up the pipe a bit on the left, but not the right. After getting under the truck and lifting the pipe end with my foot I could see the pipe was loose in the muffler extension piece. It seems, or at least I think I must not have tightened that clamp enough. Or that it just got loose with a few heat/cool cycles. So anyway I repositioned and re-tightened the pipe clamps. Seems to be ok now. Guess I'll check again in a few miles...

Sugest everyone else does the same..
