Default Nerf bar / side step for 4x4

Anyone find a good nerf bar or side step for a 4x4 that really goes off road? 16 gauge (0.0625 inch in stainless) is way too thin to take a hit - I've seen a lot of bent-up nerfs on full-sized trucks that are wheeled. Most real off-road nerfs and bumpers are a minimum of 3/16" (0.1875 inch or 7 gauge in stainless). Looking for real rocker protection and the convenience of a step. So far my searches have turned up nada - at least for the 2009 Ram.

Any ideas?

I sure do... I don't have pics of my second trip out, but it left some good scratches down the sides of my truck. Need to take the polisher to it and buff them out. Working on getting my 6" lift and 35x12.50 muds on.

Vid of my first trip out, cost me a front cv boot and rear tire...

I have the N-FAB and they are just like the rbp. The steps are to low and I have hooked them on a few things.

I have the Amp Research Power Step. They are tucked out of the way when not being used and offer a much better transition to get in and out of the truck, especially for the wife and kids.
