Default Somethings wrong

I am just wondering if anyone is having the same problem that I have. Sometimes when I get down on my truck it bogs down really bad. It starts to studder and sounds and feels like ****. Almost the feeling of some bad gas. I thought thats what it might be but since it has been doing it for some time now it can't be it. I am going to take my truck to the dealership but just wanted to see if anyone else has this prob. The only thing that I have done to my truck is put a mufflex muffler on it. Any help would be great..Thanks

MIKE

i'm kinda guessing when i say this cause i'm just starting to figure this crap out.. i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm way off here. could this be the TM kicking in? from what i gather that's what the TM does is turn our 390hp beast into a POS when it comes to stomping on the gas.. i haven't experienced this cause i haven't drove my truck in a while but if that's what it feels like i'm going to be PI$$ED!

are there any lights flashing on your dash when it does this? Particularly a little car doing a fish tail? (Mr. Squiggles?)

If the wheels start to spin then your power will shut off for a few seconds until they quit spinning and then start back up. If your on a dry road and there is no spin then something is wrong, it should be smooth.

It sounds like your traction control.. I have broke it loose a couple of times on dry pavement and it kicks in... feels like the truck is dying...when it does it, quickly look down and see if the light is on for traction control as some one else called it "Mr. squiggles"..

From a stop or a roll it could do it on dry pavement... are you punching it from a stop or highway speeds?

I know what it feels like for the esp to kick in while on wet roads or mudding, and this is not it...

I think you have another issue that is not a normal condition...

You need to take it to the dealer and try and replicate the situation, might need a flash or could be a computer problem. At WOT, it sounds like you might not be getting the right F/A mix or it's getting confused and not doing the command you're trying to give it.

YES!!!!!!! Finally some one with the same problem I have on my TRX4. Mine does the exact same thing as yours and I swear you can hear it bog down in the intake when it happens. I have found mine will do this when the outside temps change or are above 85. We had a cold front come through here and the truck ran great but now that it is hot again it is back to the same thing. My wife's truck has never done this. I have not taken mine in yet for fear of it being stuck at the dealership for wks. Ever since the closing of my dealership the others are backed up with work and only 1 of them is worth a crap. Please keep me posted if you take yours in and find the problem.

Thanks for the help guys. I never notice if the there is a light on or anything. I guess that would make sense. When your tires are spinning and with that much power it would be easy to lose control. I will see if it does it tonight when I go to work and punch it on dry pavement. Then I will try it on wet pavement or even on a dirt road. Thanks again guys..
