Great pics, cool gate graphix. Black stock wheels - unappealing.

Thanks guys. Here is the flickr for my buddy that snapped the shots, he does some pretty cool stuff.

As far as the wheels....my wife hates them too, so you're in good company

hey brown dog. what exactly did you do to the wheels again?

did you take the plasic off first? could you give me a break down? and also who and where did it? (im local, in canton)

anyway. since everyone hates your rims. would you want to trade back to regular stock 20" chromes off of my sport 4x4? they only have 3500miles on em. perfect cond.....

either way let me know about the process please....

lol...I like 'em

A friend of mine did them, he's the foreman for a GM body shop. He does some work on the side, I can contact him to see if he'd be up for doing another set if you'd like. He's in the Roseville area.

The plastic doesn't just come off. He broke the bead on the wheel, sanded down the clad, primed it, painted it, clear it, baked it. It was a custom black he mixed up. I didn't want it glossy and he didn't think it would look right completely flat, so it's kind of between eggshell and satin. I'm not sure of the specifics on the type of primer or whatnot.

PM me or email me(josh@browndogwelding.com) if you'd like me to contact him.

ill have to think about it. i guess im just not happy with going over the plastic for longevity.....

i wish i had the guts to try it out. i wonder what the rims look like underneath the plastic? i heard its glued on etc. im wondering if you "broke" it off. it could possibly be sandblasted etc. to a good finish to get powdercoated??

It's ugly underneath. He seemed pretty confident mine would hold up, we will see.
