i wanted the sport appearance package and there were no laramies with that option. i didnt like the 2 tone and i also didnt like the chrome bumpers. I have been trying for the last 5 years to get where im at now. an 05 ST reg. cab., then an 07 Quad cab SLT thunder road, and now, an 09 Crew Cab Sport. im happy with what i have but if it wasnt too much trouble to add the extra features i dont have, i would have done that. all in all i wouldnt trade my truck for anything now. ive got factory nav, dvd for my children, 5.7 hemi, sports appearance package, alpine 10 speaker system.....the list goes on. and the best part is, i just added the lifetime wrap 2 weeks ago. so im set.

but wouldnt it be easier to swap bumpers than trying to get the ajustable pedals, tilt mirrors and other options installed?

apperance options are easy to change out... but functional ones like the memory seats and power sliding rear window would be a pain..

oh well... its your truck.. and you seem to like it.. thats all that matters

Doc,
That was exactly what I was thinking. Many of these items are now tied into the bus and have different control modules, etc., so it would be much easier to buy a two tone delete Laramie, and add the bumpers to it.

It's a preference thing but I waited until I found a truck with exactly what I wanted and nothing I didn't with the colors I wanted. I know several people like the two-tone and that's fine but I'm not a big fan so I have a Black MONOTONE Laramie so they are out there...just not as many as the two-tones.

Good job getting the Max Care Lifetime..I did the same thing...best investment you can make unless you don't plan on keeping your truck awhile.

the thing is i bought my truck with the understanding that it had everything i wanted when i was purchasing it. i never thought about the auto tilt mirrors or memory seats. i had only seen that in my 5 series and was too excited about getting my 09 that those little features slipped my mind. the laramies were XXX amount of dollars more and of course, because of economy, negative equity in my trade ins, other financial things, i had to try and save as much as possible. getting the laramie was stretching it just a bit. PLUS...there were no mono-tone laramies outside at the dealer so it wasnt even an option for me and i figured there were none in production. no big deal. I thought i was doing without the powered pedals, installed nav, remote start, and a few other minor little things i didnt care about. the thing i probably care about most is that i want a color matched grille shell and an R/T badge. Eventually ill have Katskinz redo my interior in a custom leather option with some type of embroidery with R/T in the headrests or backrests or something. I want to kind of custom build my own R/T Crew Cab since they are not in production. anyways. i love my truck. Ill customize it here and there to make it my own, and in no way regret anything about it.

That's really strange. My SLT Bighorn does NOT have power seats (so of course no memory function) but DOES have the automatic reverse mirrors. I never use it though because I got used to aiming my mirrors pretty far down in the first place on my old truck. The only notable optional package on the truck is the Bighorn package, so it must be part of it or something.

thats interesting. i wonder if its a stand alone module that hooks into the gear shifter or something. if so, there may be a glimmer of hope for adding it on. if not, no big deal as ive already expressed my undying love for my truck the way it is anyways.

How do you get into the Evic to configure this option. I have a Laramie but not sure how to get into the evic to configure it.
