Trim (ring) around A/C vents
Does anyone know if the trim (ring) around the two A/C vents that are located next to the driver & passenger doors come/pull off ?
I can tell the trim rings around the other two A/C vents (on both sides of the radio) dont come off but it looks like the two near the doors might.

Budlight, not hard at all. I used a Harris Teeter plastic keychain card. (you can use any of those type of member discount keychain things
)
Jeremy, I don't have any pics installed of mine yet (just never got around to it). There is another member (jvcougar) that has pics of his on the forum. (same color truck as mine)

what type of paint did you use?
any special prep to material before paint?
for a newb on this type of deal, can you explain in detail the procedures or is it just a 1,2,3 type of thing?

I did all of my silver panels to sunburst to match the truck. I used the mopar paint. I know you can get it off ebay or at a dealer.
1. Remove plastic (the center has screws that hold it on and the rest pops out)
2. Some people lightly sand the plastic (i didnt)
3. Paint it in light coats so you wont get any runs
4. Paint in thin coat of clear
That was my process i hope it helps all.

I did lightly sand mine, i also wet sanded after the third coat of paint, and wet sanded after the third coat of clear. They are BABY smooth, no orange peel. I also used a light polishing compound and wax on them before installing. The main thing I would state is CLEAN them well. I used prep wipes fter scuffing and both wet sanding applications. I also sprayed a couple of LIGHT coats of adhesion promoter BEFORE the first coat of paint. They look like they were done at the factory.
It took me all weekend to get it done, but well worth it.
