Got a question regarding the RES radio and using my iPod/iPhone. Is it possible to plug the Pod into the Aux Jack using a double male patch cord and get decent sound, or do I need to invest in the iPod patch cable?

I hate to start pulling the dash off on a week old truck, but I sure want to use my Pod's with this radio.

 

i have the ipod cable for the RER mygig and i also have the double make patch cord you refer to. i sometimes stream through the ipod in the glove box but other times i may want to listen to a song on my iphone through youtube or if i have a song on my phone thats not on the ipod in the truck. i think it gives pretty good sound for what it is. there are alot of variables though.

 

It sounds good through the aux jack, a lot better than Sirius which is a little disappointing.
