MDS works. You can turn it off if you wish, maybe that is what you heard.

the mds works just fine on the 09 hemi with the diablo tunes. I personally found it to be more annoying with the dsp cause it seems to kick into fuel saver mode more often than without the tune. I drove around for 20 minutes on the 93 tune with the mds on and decided to just disable it. I like it alot better disabled but then again i dont care about mpg's i like the performance gains. The DSP is a geat product for the 09 hemis for anyone thats is doubtful to buy. Do it youll be satisfied. right now moesperformance.com is ofering the dsp u7137 tuner with the usb/power cables and a jet 180 thermostat for $375 shipped. Great deal seeing how the thermo is normally 36 and the cables 40.

All I can tell you this is what the EVIC and hand calc came out to. It was all highway driving going about 65-70 most of the time. My around town is more like 15-16 if i can keep my foot out of it.

If you don't plan to change the thermostat then check out diablosportdirect.com.. the predator (all predators) are $299 and the serial cable will be $20 if you order it at the same time. both parts after shipping was $331.92.. got mine in 4 days

Is there much of an advantage between the predator and the trinity? I was browsing their site and trying decide what I'd want to get. Does the 87 tune work with 89/87 octane? I don't plan on using the higher octane fuels, but better performance and possible gas mileage would be nice.

Does the thermostat need to be changed? What would be the advantage?

Sorry for all the questions, curiosity!
