We finally got some cool air make it down to south texas thanks to a sweet cold front. My CC, 5.7, w/3:21 feels like it has 50 HP more thanks to the cool air. On a recent chilly night, I lined up with a chevy silverado RCSB. I turned off the ESP for the first time and we both hit the gas from a red light. My truck spun the tires all the way through first gear and gave a hard chirp into second. The chevy got the jump but I started reeling him in. Unfortunately I had to let off due to upcoming traffic, never had the truck smoke the tires like that before, gave me a smile from ear to ear

Is your truck a 2wd? I can even get a squeak I can see how you got power like that with those gears. Did you swap down to 16 inch rims? My truck must be broken.

I traded in a Trailblazer SS for my truck and the Trailblazer SS was much faster. The trailblazer was so fun to drive but it was not a pickup...

Yep, 2 wd, open diff - non LSD w/20" tires, so I guess it is easy to spin when all the power only goes to one leg. I would like to swap out the gears for 3:92's and an LSD later on, but this has to do for now. I guess I can't help it but all this cold air has awaken my inner child and I can't keep my foot out of the gas. I lined up again this morning with a new Honda Civic SI (actually a pretty sweet car, test drove one and loved the stick shift), poor dude could only hang with the Hemi for a couple of seconds and the RAM pulled away hard, sayonara!! Makes me wonder what my 0-60 time is because I know the Civic SI does 0-60 in the low to mid 6 second range. Damn I love my hemi now I want gears, LSD and a Diablo sport tuner
