IS invoice a fair price on a 2010 Sport Order?
Well just my 2 cents but I ordered my 09 end of March finally got it in June. I took in a print out of the exact truck I wanted and it was built with my name on the sticker when it finally came. Sticker was 39480 and I got it for 25090 plus tax and they threw in a color matched Linex bedliner, so I think they can do better especially since Chryslers sales are down 30 percent as released by the media yesterday.
That's an awesome deal, wow. $15k off the sticker, just wow.
So I ordered my 2010 Sport last night... My wife has a "PPE" discount with Dodge. Not sure what that is but it doesn't matter. I sat down with my dealer and was standing over his shoulder. I got to physically see the difference in price between MSRP and Dealer Cost (invoice). After all the options the MSRP was around 45K and Dealer Cost was around 40K. My wifes discount is 1% lower than Dealer Cost. Well there is another plan called "EE" which I saw and wasn't suppose to that was another 1,500 of her price. All said and done the breakdown is below
MSRP 45,000
Dealer Cost (invoice) 40,000
Wifes Cost 39,600
EE Cost 38,100
Rebates -2,500
Walked away pre tax 36,600
Total savings including rebates under invoice was 3.400
I didn't think it was a bad price....
Truck includes
Nav
Backup Camera
Inferno Red
Leather Seat Upgrade
Heated Seats
Heated Steering Wheel
Sport Package
Trailer Package
Sunroof
might be missing some.... Pretty much fully loaded...
Sorry for the long post...Hope it helps

I think dealer invoice is just a way to make you believe you're getting a deal, because they pay way lower than that still. They still get the dealer hold back and whatever else on top of that. It was mentioned earlier in the thread the idea of two 'dealer invoices'. Our dealer invoice and theirs.
$45k to $36.6k seems about right to me, I expect on average people can get around $10k off of sticker.

Thanks for all the responses guys, def some good information. My guy it telling me to wait till after the holidays and see what incentives are out. If sales are slower then they are now there will be better deals to have. Considering 2010 just started showing up dealers might be less hesitant to take more money out of there pockets now. I could be wrong though....
I think you misread it. It should have said EP which is employee price. That is what I paid minus all rebates. I am a Chrysler employee. The dealer should not have any problem showing you this information. If they do, I would choose another dealer.
Did you have a trade in? That's still really impressive. I got mine back in June and it was stickered at $36,200 and got them down to $24,000 with $4,000 down and no trade. That was after 2 weeks of shopping around and negotiating. I must have been close to dealer hold back because they were squirming not to lose the business and still make a buck.
Nope no trade I didn't want to give them ammo to hide numbers. Also no money down. I just rode them hard about this being the third vehicle I've bought from them and the people I've sent to them. Also they may have felt sorry for me since I had to wait 3 MONTHS to get my truck, even though it was completed in just under a month and sat for two months 4 hrs away from me in Michigan.
