which of these tire sizes would be best on stock 20"s? (chart inside)
alright. i want to get different tires. but would like to keep the sock rims. (cant swing the extra $$ right now).
i want to get the nitto trail grapplers and think i might have found a match with the 295/65/20 size they have coming out soon. cause i believe the actuall 35x12.5's were a little to wide on the stock rims. it says the cross section of the 295 tire is 11.61.
the stock 20's are 10.82. thats not as big of a jump in width as a 35".... what do you guys think?

well. i think ive since decided to go with a bfg all terrain in 285/65/20.
it ends up being 34.58 overall diam.
11.22 sect. width.
i havent checked with the tire man yet. but i beleive these will fit no problem.
the biggest problem with 35x12.50's on the stock rims is rubbing and the width on the rim..

I have the BFG 285/65 KO's on stock rims also. I had them mounted before I installed the leveling kit and had no rubbing. My MPG did drop a little - maybe from on ave from 16 to 15, but I can live with that. Compared to the stock tires they look awesome, but now I'm wishing I went with something more aggressive. Those Nitto Trail Grapplers look nice. With the leveling kit, I would guess the 295/65 size would fit fine - might be tight without it though.

i was eye balling those KO's so we are confirming you DONT need a leveling kit to put them on?
I dont want to fuss with my suspension at all, since I did with the Commander and DC gave me all kind of grief....
what about it being an "E" load range? How is the ride, better? Worse? I guess that would help the towing....
They also have the next size down. 285/55/20.....might be a possibility......
