Default Mopar Headrest DVD Players for 2009/2010 Crew cab

Has anyone installed the Mopar headrest dvd players instead of the drop down style on their 2009 or 2010?
When I ordered my 2010, I selected them, as a dealer installed option over the drop down style. I have been lead to believe that all required wiring connections have been preinstalled in the seats during the manufacturing of the new rams, thus installation more or less plug and play.
They have been on back order since I received my truck, but did arrive today. The headrests have been reinstalled, but the actual connection will not be made until Monday.

Thanks

I bought a set of invisions off ebay for a crazy price of 600.00!! I installed them in an hour. It was very easy. The truck doesn't need special wiring. Invision makes matching kits that have everything you need to install the headrests. Here is the link to my original post with pics.

I think maybe I should have bought something other too......I may have been misinformed by MOPAR, when I ordered the truck my intent was to have the rear entertainment package, but instead of the fold down 10 inch screen I opted for the MOPAR dvd headrests, thinking that and informed that, all would be the same....well, I do not think that is the case as they were installed today, not plug and play with wiring already installed for them, my week old truck had the entire center console taken apart to run wires, and I have this silly axillary plug coming out of the vent into the front radio/dvd/nav. if you put a movie in the front unit, it will not play on both headrests, and the headrest units will not pick up the radio controls for individual selection of audio. Installation has been a tad careless with scratches and pry marks from removing bezels, and other plastic but this is another issue. By the installation instructions, other than how they did it, it seems to be correct, but it doesn't seem operationally correct given that I have the RER premium navigation radio.
Any experience out there???

Sounds like you have a similar set up to mine. I opted to leave the units run through the FM modulator. It works pretty well. No need to run cords to the head unit. The only down side is I have to reach around to the back to turn the units on. I plan on getting a MYGIG so I can run everything from the head unit. With that there is no visable cords. You should be able to do the same.
