HVAC doors ?
09 Ram 1500 CC sport with dual AC
This morning when I first turn the ignition key on, with the AC switch on, I can hear the HVAC doors flapping inside the dash. As soon as the engine is started, they settle down and the noise stops. When you turn the key off they will start flapping again for a few minutes. Anybody experience this problem before ? Sound like a weak vacuum/vacuum leak ?
Guess it's back to the stealership, I don't expect this sort of thing after 7000 mls !
The dash was apart at 1000 mls to fix a broken Alpine amp, wonder if the tech screwed the vacuum harness up ?
Oh well, hope this isn't the shape of things to come

I have heard the doors moving on mine, I'm pretty sure it's normal. They dont use vacuum actuated doors anymore, everything is electric. I have had my stereo out and you can see the electric servo motors for the doors. I think they are opening the doors or actuating them when the truck starts and shuts off.
I have never heard them before yesterday, but this time they 'flap' backwards and forwards rapidly, so I don't think it is normal, anyway it goes in to the stealership today, I'll post the diagnosis later, in case it should happen to anyone else.
