m15, Have you had your truck to the track yet? I would love to see some prediablo and post diablo times on the rt.

 

I can vouch for Mike W's tune. I have had it for a while and he was nice enough to help me with some tweaking. The hot weather here in Fl does effect the performance of the truck quite a bit.

Significant improvement from the canned tune DS puts out.

 

Did you have the 87 or 93 canned tune modified or a custom tune just for your vehicle?

Did you send both stock logs of idle, crusing, and WOT and the tune you wanted modified?

I'm working on my logs and hoping to have the tune done soon. I was goofing around with my Trinity this morning and saw to much knock on the way to work, up to around 12-13...I know bad. So I went and added 3% fuel (I clicked to the right where it said lean, I'm assuming that means add fuel if it is lean, and take away fuel if you're rich going to the left)across all rpm ranges and it seems to fixed my knocking, but we'll see when I can get up to 70 later today how it is.

Does anyone know how Base Spark and Advance Spark timings are suppose to be? Do they need to be relatively the same number or what? Need more info so I can understand what the truck is doing.

 

you guys have the trinity and it does more than the predator.. does the predator keep logs? is that even where your getting them?

 

Well, my attempt to reduce knock didn't work so I'm just going to break down and ask for a custom tune haha.

Predator keeps logs but I don't think you can actively watch them like the trinity.

 

i don't care about watching it.. probably wouldn't know what i was looking at anyway.. i will be home in a few weeks.. i'm sure installing the predator (that's there waiting on me) will be one of the first "to do's" on my list..

 

Yeah the best I could do was 14.4@94mph with the Diablo 93 tune

 

My truck does not like the canned tunes at all .Its going to take some special tunning to get this truck running at its best. Right now Im torn between the Wilson tune and a dyno tune.

 

You know, I wonder... Given the converter being different, gear ratio (4:10 correct?) in your R/T and of course the canned tunes tested on a non R/T..... Hell, I would wager Diablo may not even be aware of the R/T and the differences. I have asked my dealer, who just stares at me like a deer in headlights if the R/T has any different programming over other trucks, so that is a dead end. If it does I would say the different program, gears and converter when combined with canned Diablo tunes means going backward. If this turns out to be the case they need to note that R/T is excluded from device support.

I wonder if you sent your original backup tune to Diablo if they could tell if it is different from a non R/T tune? If you like I can give you my original tune (it is on my PC) and you can send it and yours to them or maybe Mike W to compare.
