Has anyone installed the uConnect interface into a truck with the RES base radio? They make a kit specifically for it, part number 82211755AB . I'm curious to know how well it works.

 

mine came with the unconnect/stock stereo. the uconnect pairs/downloads phonebook and works really well for me, no complaints.

i had a $1200 kenwood aftermarket in my 350z and the phone portion was complete crap.

 

The Mopar version(the one the first guy will get) it will not upload phonebooks but it does everything else. Is that the version or part number if you don't have the uconnect button on your radio, cuz I was told 82211878 and it also works with the REN which I have and am using that part. But do your homework and make sure they are giving you the one you need.

 

? My boss has a R/T Chally with the RES radio and UConnect and it will use the address book on his BB. You can not record the names, but it will do its best to match up what you say to what is in the address book, does not work to bad. I do the same thing with my REN, no names recorded, but it will still dial from my address book.

That is how I was going to order my truck (RES with UC) until I test drove one with the RER.
